Maker of Living Face Oil
Our ultra fine face oil uses amaranth oil extracted with extraordinary care to maintain its remarkable bioactivity.
Our Product
Living Face Oil
Carefully extracted amaranth oil is a rare expression of living lipids—rich in native squalene, balanced essential fatty acids, and delicate micronutrients that remain intact only through gentle, cold pressing. A trace infusion of rose essential oil is then introduced, not as a fragrance, but as a quiet catalyst—amplifying and harmonizing the oil’s native properties. In this unaltered and augmented state, the oil moves in quiet harmony with the skin, supporting its natural structure, restoring equilibrium, and delivering a depth of nourishment that refined oils cannot replicate. The result is not simply care, but a return to the skin’s own innate intelligence—resilient, luminous, and profoundly alive.
Our face oil is prepared in very small batches, and is currently only available to our patrons in the greater Savannah area. Subscriptions are $125 per month (15 mL bottle), and we are currently fully subscribed. A waiting list is maintained.
The Science
Amaranth oil contains a truly remarkable combination of molecules found nowhere else in nature. To our carefully prepared amaranth oil, we add a small amount of rose oil, a combination that significantly increases the anti-oxidant and anti-cancer activity of amaranth oil.*
Squalene
Amaranth has the highest concentration of squalene of any plant. Squalene is a remarkable lipid naturally present in our skin that helps maintain its protective barrier, yet squalene production peaks when we are in our teens and early twenties, and then declines significantly every decade after that. When preserved in its native form within fresh, cold-pressed amaranth oil, squalene remains stable and active, retaining its full healing power in a way that refined or hydrogenated forms (such as squalane) cannot.
Linoleic Acid
Amaranth oil contains up to 55% linoleic acid (omega-6), an essential fatty acid the body cannot produce on its own. It plays a key role in supporting the skin’s barrier lipids and is also associated with helping reduce congestion and breakouts, making it especially valued for acne-prone skin.
Oleic Acid
Amaranth oil contains up to 25% oleic acid (omega-9), a monounsaturated fatty acid that supports the skin’s lipid structure and helps enhance the absorption of other beneficial compounds. It has also been studied for potential anti-cancer properties, particularly in relation to its role in cell signaling and resistance to oxidative stress.
Palmitic Acid
Amaranth oil contains ~15% palmitic acid, a saturated fatty acid that contributes to the skin’s structural lipids and helps maintain a stable, protective surface layer. It has also been studied for its role in cellular signaling and energy metabolism, with ongoing research into how it may influence cell growth and stress responses.
Phytosterols
Amaranth oil contains ~3% phytosterols, a group of plant-derived compounds that help support the skin’s barrier structure and overall balance. They have also been studied for their anti-inflammatory and potential anti-cancer properties, particularly in how they interact with cell membranes and modulate cellular signaling.
Tocopherols
Amaranth oil typically contains ~1% tocopherols (vitamin E compounds), a group of natural antioxidants that help support the stability of the oil and the skin’s lipid environment. They are also studied for their role in protecting against oxidative stress and their potential anti-cancer properties through their influence on cellular integrity and free radical balance.

Our Process
Our living face oil is entirely handmade in very small batches, with the goal of producing the most pure amaranth oil possible containing the highest concentration of squalene and other bioactive compounds.
Premium Amaranth
Our seed has been carefully selected after evaluating amaranth grown in multiple countries across the globe. We only use USDA certified organic amaranth grown by small regenerative producers.
Gentle Extraction
We use very gentle extraction techniques to maximum the stability of the oil’s bioactive compounds. Cold pressing in very small batches is the only way to ensure the integrity of the oil’s living qualities.
Coherent Purification
We let gravity do a lot of the work, and after letting the oil settle in the dark for several days we filter off the top layer of pure oil. We then spin the oil in a centrifuge to polish it to the most pure state possible.
The Ritual
On the skin, the oil is silken—light, yet quietly substantial—melting as it absorbs, leaving a soft, supple finish with no residue. It settles effortlessly, as though it belongs there.
Apply a measured amount—2–4 drops per side of the face—morning and evening, after any serums. Press gently into the face and neck as the final step. Here, the oil completes the ritual—carrying what has come before, and restoring the skin to balance.
